The Department will not accept hand delivered or submissions by mail, even if received by the Department prior to the date and time fixed for opening. The intent of the grant program is to support marketing initiatives that grow Hawai’i Island’s visitor arrivals and expenditures, and strengthen Hawai’i Island’s brand to sustain the visitor industry in a way that protects the assets of the island, while providing economic benefit to the island’s businesses and residents. Proposal must address and support the Department’s Tourism Program. Proposals submitted shall be reviewed and considered for the receipt of funding, to supplement existing or proposed project or program budgets for the applicant organizations.
