Ordinance 20-27 (Bill 145, Draft 2): Authorizes the issuance of General Obligation Bonds of the County of Hawai’i for the purpose of funding All or a portion of the costs of various improvement projects; fixing the form, denominations, and certain other details of such bonds and providing for their sale to the public; and authorizes the taking of other actions relating to the issuance and sale of the bonds. Ordinance 20-28 (Bill 146): Amends Chapter 2 of the Hawai’i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended), by adding a new article relating to the appropriation of Disaster Relief Funds to eligible nonprofit organizations to provide relief, recovery, mitigation, and remediation assistance for disaster damage caused by the 2018 Kilauea Eruption. Appropriates revenues in the Fund Balance from Previous Year account ($850,000); and appropriates the same to the Signals and Street Lights account.
