NOTICE OF CONSULTATION SECTION 106 OF THE NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION ACT OF 1966 AS AMENDED (2006) NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION ACT SECTION 106 PROGRAMMATIC AGREEMENT FOR MINOR HAWAI’I HISTORIC BRIDGE PROJECTS STATEWIDE Notice is hereby given that the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Highways Division (HDOT) propose to develop a statewide Programmatic Agreement for Minor Hawai’i Historic Bridge Projects. This proposed project is a federal funded HDOT project. It will be considered a federal action and undertaking, as defined by Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966, as amended (2006). Part 800. The PA will not address major bridge rehabilitation or replacement projects. Pursuant to Section 106 of the NHPA, Native Hawaiian organizations and Native Hawaiian descendants with ancestral, lineal or cultural ties to, cultural knowledge or concerns for, and cultural or religious attachment to the proposed project are requested to direct any comments or questions regarding the information in this letter to Info@HawaiiHistoricBridgePA.com, via telephone at (808) 726-2909, or via U.S. Mail at HWY-P, 869 Punchbowl Street Room 301, Honolulu, HI, 96813, attn: Dr. Pua Aiu.
