Public Notice Rural Housing Preservation Grant Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council (H.C.E.O.C.) is submitting an application to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Housing Service for Section 533 Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 HPG funding to assist and/or improve the handicapped accessibility of their homes in rural Hawaii County (all areas except Hilo). Since 1989 HCEOC has used HPG federal and county funding to provide loans that have enable 125 homeowners to repair their rural homes. The proposed HPG program is described in the 2020 Housing Preservation Grant Statement of Activities which will be available online at www.hceoc.org and at our Hilo office from July 8 July 19, 2021.
