Munitions Response Site Prioritization Protocol for Former Training Area, Pohakuloa Training Area, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii United States Army Garrison – Hawaii (USAG-HI) has updated the Munitions Response Site Prioritization Protocol (MRSPP) at a former military training area on Pohakuloa Training Area, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii, to assign the site a relative priority for response activity. The former munitions training area (Pu’u Pa’a Munitions Response Site: PTA-003-R-01) is currently in the Feasibility Study phase in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) process to ultimately determine the best remedial action alternative for the site. This protocol is used to prioritize former Munitions Response Sites with a potential for unexploded ordnance, discarded military munitions or munitions constituents with regard to future clean-up actions. The MRSPP documents for Pohakuloa Training Area are available for public review on the USAG-HI website at https://home.army.mil/hawaii/garrison/ dpw/mmrp for 30 days.
