ERNEST FRANK VALENCIA What an amazing man, what an amazing life. A proud and generous man. He was loved by his family and friends. Ernest travelled the world as a merchant marine and honorably served his country in the armed forces. He began his service in occupied Japan in 1945 and continued through the Vietnam war. Among his many friends Ernest had a lifetime of stories to tell. Captivating everyone with old adventures of his past. He loved life to its fullest and his friends admired him greatly. His sense of humour and laidback nature were an inspiration to all. The last few years were difficult physically for Ernest however he continued to exercise. Even clearly in pain from arthritis he would just chuckle a little, swear a little and admonish anyone that was listening to, “not get old”. An avid reader he kept his mind sharp as ever right to the end of his 97 years! We will miss you Ernest. Burial with full military honors on August 22, 2023. Private services.
