NOTICE TO ALL COUNTY RESIDENTS TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF TRANSFER STATION Temporary Closure: Honoka’a Transfer Station to Close for Tree Trimming July 21&22 The County of Hawai’i Department of Environmental Management will temporarily close the Honoka’a Transfer Station on July 21 and July 22 for tree trimming work. The facility is expected to reopen July 23. This short-term closure is necessary to protect public safety. Due to the nature and location of the tree work, it’s not possible to safely allow vehicles into the facility. To help meet community needs during this closure, the Pa’auilo Transfer Station (43-1615 Hauola Road) will be open for an additional day.
