JACK ELDON LOVE July 23, 1931 – Feb. 7, 2026 Jack was born in Fremont, Ohio. He enlisted in the Army at age 18 and was trained in map drafting/photogrammetry. Honorably discharged in 1953, he eventually obtained a B.A. degree from Ohio University and worked for most of his life as a public risk manager. Jack lived for over five decades in southern California. Fulfilling a lifelong dream from his Army days, he moved to Kona in 2017. He was passionate about reading and writing, especially history and politics, and had articles published in multiple journals and newspapers. Jack was married and divorced three times, and was preceded in death by his two children, their mother, his three brothers and one sister. Jack contributed to a multitude of democratic organizations, as well as charitable agencies that serve vulnerable populations, both in the U.S. and the Middle East.
