CAROL FUMIE KUBOJIRI Carol Kubojiri passed away peacefully on August 15,2025. She was born on June 29, 1954, and was raised in Glenwood, Hawaii. She retired from Hawaiian Telcom in Hilo after many years of dedicated service. She will be remembered for her loving heart, devotion to her family, and many talents as a cook, baker, and crafter. She especially enjoyed sharing homemade treats and handcrafted gifts with family and friends during the holidays. She is survived by her children, Kelsi (Kaina) Gladden, Lia Mercado, Cody Mercado, and Ryler Kubojiri; her hanai daughter, Jillian Moniz; hanai grandchildren, Dylan “Chiki” Moniz, Justice Gladden, and Kailee Gladden; and her sisters, Sharon (Floyd) Sakoda and Maileen Kubojiri, (David Heltz). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until pau at Hilo Meishoin, 97 Olona Street, Hilo.
