Public Hearings

The State of Hawaii Department of Health will hold a public hearing for the proposed amendment of Hawaii Administrative Rules chapter 11-280.1, which regulates underground storage tanks. The proposed changes align default criteria for remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater following a UST system release with the Department’s updated Environmental Action Levels, correct typographical errors, clarify existing requirements, and better align with federal regulations.
