ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS HOPE Services Hawaii Kihei Pua Emergency Shelter Facility Improvements Phase 2 Certified Kitchen c/o Fleming&Associates, LLC 557 Manono Street, Hilo, HI 96720 Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the roof replacement for the HOPE Services Hawaii Kihei Pua Emergency Shelter, as described in the Contract Documents, will be received by the office of Fleming&Associates, LLC at 557 Manono Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720 until 2:00 p.m. (HST) on Monday, September 21, 2020. Bids will be evaluated on the basis of the total contract amount (excluding State of Hawaii General Excise Taxes). A Pre-Bid meeting will be conducted at the Project Site on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. (HST). This meeting is not mandatory. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not a condition for submitting a bid, but the conference is an opportunity to ask questions about contractual requirements and all technical aspects of the project. General Contractors may obtain a copy of the bid documents by submitting a Notice of Intent to Bid via email to Fleming&Associates, LLC, Attention: Jim Marika. Email to: jmarika@fleminghawaii.com. The contractor will be provided a link to the documents via a filesharing website. The project is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program. Attention of the prospective bidders is particularly called to the requirements which will obligate the contractor and subcontractors to comply in all respects with the regulations, policies, guidelines and requirements as described in the Contract Documents including contract provisions regarding Equal Opportunity, Non-discrimination in Employment, Small and Minority firms, Women Business Enterprise, Local Firms, Individual State Prevailing Wage Standards and Davis Bacon Wage Standards. Pursuant of Executive Order 11246 as amended, or Equal Employment Opportunity, a prime contractor and subcontractor who signs a contract of federally assisted projects are required to take affirmative action toward equal employment opportunity and are required under certain conditions to present written Affirmative Action Programs.
