NOTICE TO MOTORISTS Mamalahoa Highway Safety Improvements Vicinity of Haleili Street and Bruner Road The State Highways Division will begin improvements on Highway 11, Mile Post 96 to 105.40. Work in these areas involve widening shoulders, pavement reconstruction, installing guardrail and end treatments, guardrail reflector markers, flexible delineators, traffic signs, pavement marking and striping, milled shoulder rumble strips, milled centerline rumble strips, asphalt shoulder regrading, grated drain inlets and shallow concrete drywells. ROAD CLOSURE TUESDAY, JULY 4, 2023 The County of Hawaii in partnership with Destination Hilo, Hawaii Explosives & Pyrotechnics, and the State of Hawaii are proud to present the Fourth of July - Hilo Bay Blast 2023. This year's Fourth of July Celebration will feature various activities throughout the day, a performance by the Hawaii County Band at 7pm, culminating with the traditional Fireworks Exhibition at 8pm in Hilo Bay.
